How to easily share your screen

Chrome Remote Desktop is a great tool that allows you to share your desktop or laptop screen with anyone for free.

It’s very easy to use. First you need to visit remotedesktop.google.com and install the Remote Desktop extension. Or if you use Chrome and are comfortable with finding extensions you can add it as usual through the Chrome Web Store.

You don’t need to use Chrome but you will need a Google Account. If you don’t have one already it will prompt you to set one up in your regular browser before accessing the sharing page.

Once that’s done, you click on the extension or visit https://remotedesktop.google.com/support/ to generate the share code which you share with someone.

share your screen

That person also clicks on the extension or visits https://remotedesktop.google.com/support/ and adds the share code to remotely access your computer.

connect to shared screen

We use it all the time to connect remotely with our team, clients and family members as it’s simple and free.

Find out what Google has on you

Find out what Google has on you

When you use Google sites, apps and services, your activity is saved in your Google account and stored away on Google servers. But you can find out everything Google has on you by visiting https://myactivity.google.com/myactivity. It allows you to review and delete any data Google saved about you and your online activities. You can also change collection preferences to protect your privacy. Whether this data is really removed from Google servers is up for debate but it would stop a hacker finding out a lot about your life.
