Learn Czech in Wales provides language lessons in both Czech & English as a Foreign Language. Kate wanted a website to advertise her business a bit different from the traditional teaching sites so the concept was a lot of fun to come up with. I decided on a one page layout with important information easily be to hand. Above the fold I used a photo of Kate in an office environment & sketched the background so it brought out the colourful central image making it immediately eye-catching. Smart black below the fold with course information and prices clearly laid out. For the blog I sourced a road map of Kate’s hometown in the Czech Republic to use as a background image.

Type is a cooperative venture providing websites & blogs, social media & email marketing services to clients in and around Mid Glamorgan. The design of the site started out very differently. Originally I mocked it up in a greyish grungy style that seemed to work really well but then as is sometimes the case, the initial idea seems to become more bland than interesting and understated. So some re-thinking and re-jigging later it has now become beautifully clean and sharp.

I’ve just launched the Harri Loveluck blog. Harri and his parents wanted a blog so he could practice his writing skills in a way that would be fun and interesting – so I came up with a design that matched his passion for rugby.
