This is a difficult question to answer and a bit like asking, ‘how much does a car cost?’ It really depends on the type of site you want, design time involved, the features you need and the project deadline.
I normally work with the WordPress platform and provide HTML5/CSS3 sites. That means that every project comes with a CMS (content management system) and a blog for SEO. WordPress is a simple and intuitive CMS and on average has a 30 minute learning curve. It is ideal for small to medium sized businesses as well as sole traders and private individuals.
A rough starting point is £450 – £600. That will include a bespoke design, WordPress set up, standard SEO and training which can be in person or over the phone.
Some people will see the pricing as extremely competitive, some will consider it expensive – ‘there was a designer on gumtree who said he can do it for £50…’ It’s worth bearing in mind you can also buy a car for that sum on gumtree.

I recently finish my course as web & graphic designer and i don t know how much should I charge to my clients.
Could you tell me pleas how you calculate the cost of a website?
